Bringing awareness and education about the physical and emotional challenges of epilepsy through a book that represents a collection of stories, poems, and experiences of a young girl named Carley Eissman. Carley’s mom compiled all of Carley’s journals and sat in a quiet coffee house for 2 years writing her daughter’s memoir. Carley went to Heaven at 19 years old, but her story will encourage other young people to seek happiness here on Earth.  The book describes how Carley, as a teenager dealt with epilepsy, especially describing her daily struggles, humiliations and courage while suffering seizures from the age of 12 till she was 16 years old. It chronicles how she triumphed personally in dealing with her seizures, and how she, ultimately, accepts it as a gift and not a curse. Her writing has the depth, maturity and insight of a princess warrior who cared on despite her ‘feelings’ The book is the narrative language and emotion of a young girl; all her deep sorrows and heartfelt dreams.  All funds generated through the sale of this book go directly to CEF.
